Deferred Payment Plans
Western will offer payment plans as follows:
Bills printed from November 15th through March 15, during cold weather, the member will be required to pay at least 50% of the balance on each bill in order to be allowed to have a payment plan. Once outside the cold weather timeframe, there will be a settle up period, and the member will have to pay the balance on their delinquent notice. After that balance has been paid, the member could enter a payment plan by paying 50% of the remaining balance and the remainder billed out in 4 installments added to those next 4 bills’ calculated charges.
Bills printed in April, May and June—member will need to pay 50% of the balance on the bill and may have remainder billed out in 4 installments added to those next 4 bills’ calculated charges.
Bills printed in July—member will need to pay 50% of the current balance and the remainder will be spread in 2 installments added to those next 2 bills’ calculated charges.
Bills printed in August—member will need to pay 50% and remainder spread in 1 installment added to that month’s calculated charges.
Bills printed in September and October are not eligible for a payment plan, so as to not carry more than a current due balance into the Cold Weather time period.
Once a member has established a payment plan, their payments must be received by the due date listed on their bills or they will be in default of that payment plan. A default means that the remaining balance of the plan will be added back onto the account, and it must be settled up before any future plans may be given. The member will be given until the due date to make the settlement of that balance or be subject to disconnection from their past due notice.
