What is PrePay POWER?

PrePay POWER is a pay as you go electric service. You can pay in advance for the electricity
you will be using.

Do I have to pay a deposit with PrePay POWER?

No, you will not be required to pay any deposits.

Can I put my business on PrePay POWER?

No, PrePay POWER is only for residential accounts.

How can I check my PrePay POWER balance and make payments?

•Online on our website, www.westerncoop.com, sign up for Ebiz
•Free mobile app available on IOS and Android devices
•Pay at the WaKeeney office at 635 S. 13th Street
•Call our toll-free number at 1-800-456-6720

Are low balance notifications sent?

Yes, once you reach a balance of $25.00, you are notified by email or text messages.

How often do I need to make a payment?

That is up to you! Payments may be made daily, weekly, or monthly as long as a credit
balance is maintained.

Am I subject to late fees, disconnection or reconnection fees, if I am disconnected for non-payment?

No, none of these fees are associated with PrePay POWER.

What if I don’t receive notifications?

You are responsible for setting up your notifications using Ebiz, either online or by using the
mobile app, or by calling our office at 1-800-456-6720.

What happens when my credit is $0.00 or below?

•Power will be disconnected once your account no longer has a credit.
•Disconnects will be immediate and without further notification.
•Cold weather does not prevent disconnection, there is no cold weather rule with
PrePay POWER.

If I am disconnected how can I get re-connected?

Payment will need to be made in order to have a minimum of a $50.00 credit balance.

How are PrePay POWER members billed?

•PrePay POWER is billed and updated daily at 9:00 a.m.
•You will not receive daily, weekly, or monthly billing statements.
•Disconnections will occur at 11:00a.m. daily.

Does Western Cooperative Electric have a separate charge for PrePay POWER?

No, the charges are the same as the standard residential rate.

What is the cost to start PrePay POWER?

There is a $50.00 minimum to start PrePay POWER. This will be credit on your account to
use, this is not a deposit.

What if I receive a payment for energy assistance?

The payment will be applied to your account as credit once we receive it.

Can I choose to be moved to traditional billing at any time?

Yes, Western will require full payment and may require a deposit, based on your credit, as a
condition of continued service.Once your deposit amount is determined, we will require 50% of the deposit be paid upfront.
