Nolan Numrich Named as the Next CEO/General Manager of Western Cooperative Electric

WaKeeney, KS (November 25, 2024) — Western Cooperative Electric is pleased to announce that Nolan Numrich has been named as the next Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, succeeding Tom Ruth, who will retire on January 4, 2025.

Numrich, who has been with Western Cooperative Electric for over four years, has served as Assistant General Manager and Member Services Manager. In these roles, he built strong relationships with both employees and members while spearheading initiatives to enhance member engagement and operational efficiency.

A Kansas native, Numrich has demonstrated a deep understanding of the cooperative model and the unique needs of rural communities. During his tenure, he has played a key role in member engagement initiatives and operational advancements, as well as introducing modern tools to enhance the member experience.

The selection of Numrich followed a comprehensive national search conducted in partnership with the Ken Holmes Executive Search Firm. The search process was conducted to identify a visionary leader committed to the cooperative's mission of providing reliable and affordable energy solutions to its members.
