Western Cooperative Electric is proud to announce the recipients of our 2025 Sharing Success Grants! In partnership with CoBank, we had an incredible response this year with 24 applications from organizations across our service territory.
After much discussion and review, our Board of Trustees selected four community-focused projects to receive a total of $30,000 in grant funding:
-
Plainville Community Foundation – “The Yard” Project: $15,000
-
City of WaKeeney – Kelly Facade & Bathroom Project: $5,500
-
Ellsworth County Historical Society – New Electronic Billboard: $2,000
-
City of Gove Library – New Heating and Air System: $7,500
“These projects represent the heart of the Sharing Success program—strengthening communities, preserving history, and improving quality of life for residents across the region,” said Christina Hayes, Western’s Member Services Manager.
Since the Sharing Success Grant program began, Western Cooperative Electric and CoBank have helped fund dozens of projects that make a lasting impact. From downtown improvements to library updates, the goal is simple: invest in the people and places that make our communities stronger.
